Paintings for Children” by Zoe Kitnick

Explore “Paintings for Children” by Zoe Kitnick, a playful and immersive children’s art show.
Designed at kids’ eye level, the exhibition features around 100 vibrant paintings of cars, trucks, and buses, creating a fun and engaging gallery experience for young visitors. Guests can also enjoy free postcards and crayons to spark creativity.

Proceeds from the show support Wide Rainbow, which provides free arts education to children in under-resourced communities.

Admission is free. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM. For a perfect outing, pair your visit with a stop at nearby DeSalvio Playground.

Queens Easter Festival in Gantry State Park

Gantry Park’s annual Easter festival features age-specific egg hunts, live entertainment, and fun carnival games for families to enjoy.

Egg Hunt Schedule:

10:10 AM: Ages 2–3 & crawlers
10:30 AM: Ages 2–3
10:50 AM: Ages 4–5
11:10 AM: Ages 4–5
11:30 AM: Ages 6–8
11:50 AM: Ages 9–10

For everyone’s safety, children must participate only in the hunt that matches their age group—no exceptions. Please make sure you register your child for the correct group.

This is a free ticketed event, and pre-registration is required. Walk-up registration is not allowed, and tickets must be shown to participate.

WBO Spring Egg Hunt at Williamsbridge Oval

Head over to Williamsbridge Oval for a fun-filled day featuring an egg hunt, sack races, arts and crafts, and more!

Egg Hunt Schedule:

Spring Opening at the Audubon Center

Celebrate the arrival of spring at the Prospect Park Audubon Center with hands-on nature activities for families and children! Explore bird migration through interactive games, meet animals with teen naturalists from the Prospect Park Alliance, and take a guided hike to spot colorful warblers.

Schedule of Activities:

Bird Nerd Game Hour (10 AM–1 PM): Enjoy puzzles, Bingo, card games, and more while learning about birds and nature in a fun, mildly competitive setting.
Animal Encounter (11 AM–12 PM): Alliance naturalists introduce one of the animals from the Audubon Center’s collection.
Bird Walk (12 PM–1 PM): Go on a guided hike to identify cute and colorful warblers.

It’s a perfect way to get outside, explore nature, and learn about local wildlife!
